Mechanism: Positive inotrope (increased contraction) and negative chronotrope (decreased HR). Side Effects: Bradycardia, Digoxin toxicity. Nursing Considerations: Check apical pulse for 1 full minute (hold if <60). Therapeutic range: 0.5 - 2.0 ng/mL. Monitor potassium (low K+ increases risk for toxicity). Patient Teaching: Report yellow/green halos or blurred vision.
